Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between a eulogy and an obituary?
An obituary tells the world that someone has passed.
A eulogy tells the world who they were.
Obituaries are formal announcements — often brief, often public.
But a eulogy is a sacred act of remembrance, spoken or written with love, shared at funerals or memorials to honor a life lived and felt.
At Memento Mori Memorials, we craft eulogies that do more than mark an ending — they breathe life into memory.

2. How long does it take to receive the eulogy?
We offer three levels of service, each with its own delivery timeline:
Gentle Tribute: Delivered within 24–48 hours
Full Eulogy: Delivered within 3 business days
Legacy Memorial: Delivered within 4–5 business days (includes a custom memorial webpage)
Rush options may be available upon request.

3. Can I request edits to the eulogy after it's written?
Yes. Each package includes a set number of light revisions to ensure the final tribute feels authentic and aligned with your loved one’s memory.
We want you to feel at peace with every word.

4. What if I don’t know what to say or how to describe my loved one?
That’s okay — that’s exactly why we’re here.
You can fill out a simple intake form or schedule a short call, and we’ll gently guide you through questions that help us understand their spirit, memories, and legacy.
You don’t need to have the right words — just your love for them.

5. Can I include quotes, stories, or spiritual beliefs in the eulogy?
Absolutely. The eulogy is tailored to reflect your loved one’s voice, values, and story.
Whether you want to include personal anecdotes, favorite quotes, or faith-based reflections, we will incorporate them with care and respect.

6. Will my loved one’s tribute be kept private?
You can choose between a public memorial (shared on our site) or a private, password-protected page.
Both options are fully shareable via link — it’s just a matter of your preference.
And yes, you can change your choice at any time.

7. Can you write a eulogy if I barely knew the person or had a complicated relationship?
Yes. Grief is not always simple, and neither are relationships.
We approach each story with empathy, nuance, and zero judgment.
Whether your connection was distant, strained, or layered, we’ll help you express what feels honest, respectful, and real.

8. What formats do you deliver the eulogy in?
Each eulogy is delivered as an editable Word document and a printable PDF — ready to be spoken aloud, included in a funeral program, or kept as a private remembrance.
If you choose the Legacy Memorial package, you’ll also receive a beautifully designed custom memorial webpage.

9. Can I order a eulogy in advance, before someone has passed?
Yes. Some clients choose to prepare their own eulogy in advance, or commission one for a loved one entering end-of-life care.
This can be part of a deeply personal or spiritual process.
We handle these with the utmost sensitivity and discretion.

10. How much does it cost, and what’s included in each package?
We offer three tiers of remembrance — each one written with care, shaped by your story, and delivered with grace:

Gentle Tribute – $175
A short, poetic farewell.
Ideal for intimate ceremonies or quiet reflection.
Delivered in 24–48 hours (rush available upon request).

Full Eulogy – $300
A deeply personal tribute, 500–750 words.
Crafted to be spoken, printed, or simply held close.
Delivered within 3 days — with rush options available if time is tender.

Legacy Memorial – $500
Our most complete offering:
A full eulogy paired with a custom-designed memorial webpage to honor their life online.
Delivered in 4–5 days — with expedited delivery available by request.

Each package includes gentle revisions and full customization — so the final words feel true, and worthy.

11. Can my loved one’s memorial page be private?
Yes. When you purchase a Legacy Memorial package, you can choose whether your loved one’s tribute page is public or private.
Public pages appear in our In Loving Memory section and are easily shareable with friends and family.
Private pages are still shareable by direct link, but are protected with a password for added privacy.
You can decide this when you place your order — and you’re welcome to change it at any time.

12: Do I have to write everything out, or can I just speak my answers?
A: You don’t have to write a thing if you don’t want to. We use a secure speech-to-text tool called OtterAI, so you can simply speak your story or tribute, and it will be transcribed automatically. Just talk naturally—we’ll take care of the rest.
